Investigate some of New Zealand's underwater creatures and their habitats.

Oceans and Sealife

This programme is under development. It will be one hour and will be held in the Stevenson Discovery Centre, Weird and Wonderful.

Through exploration and investigation in the Weird & Wonderful and Oceans galleries learn how many Oceans there are, where they are located and explore & investigate various forms of sea life. Find the answers to some of the curious questions…..Why is the Ocean blue? Why is the Ocean salty?

We’ll find out! This programme gives children a hands-on learning experience. Through examination of specimens, collections, stories, song and activity children will have an inspiring Marine experience.
