Poetry Competition – Lest we Forget

Hear the finalists from this year’s poetry competition read their poems in the Hall of Memories.

Entries are now open!
This year you have the opportunity to send in your poems or prose around war in the Pacific. General entries on the subject of war are also welcome. Give a voice to conflict in the Pacific, and to those Pacific people who have left their homes to serve in wars on foreign soil. The competition is open to all ages.

Illuminate

The film begins as soon as it's dark (approx. 6.30pm) until 10pm

Today Auckland War Memorial Museum still forms the city’s emotional hub around Anzac Day. In the lead-up to Anzac Day we will project a film onto the Museum’s northern façade.

Starting after sunset this year’s Illuminate film will focus on the contributions and sacrifices of Pacific peoples and the conflicts that played out in Pacific region.
