Unless otherwise stated, or an author is acknowledged, the Museum holds the copyright on all information available on this website. Such information may be reproduced for personal use without further permission, subject to the information being reproduced accurately and not being used in a misleading context.  Pictures of artists and artworks are used on this site with the artists’ permission. You cannot use images from this site without obtaining the permission of the artist.

For written permission to reproduce information on this website for any purpose other than personal use, please contact the author, where named, in the first instance or Auckland War Memorial Museum: webmaster@aucklandmuseum.com. When information from this website is used in any context, it must be sourced to the website of Auckland Museum and the date of publication of the Auckland Museum website must be stated.

Privacy

You may browse and access information contained within this website without providing any personal information. Where you voluntarily provide personal information (for example, through online forms or email newsletters), Auckland Museum will only use that information for the specific purpose stated. Auckland Museum will keep any such information secure and will not disclose it to any third parties.

Security

When personal information is collected the Museum takes reasonable steps to keep that information secure and to protect that information from misuse or loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Please note however that total security of data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed as being completely secure. Hence, we cannot guarantee and we do not warrant the security of information transmitted to us over the internet and you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.

Online Bookings

1. Transaction fee: A $3 fee is charged per transaction for processing bookings by internet, telephone, mail and fax.
2. No refunds or exchanges on any ticket price or service fee except as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act or under circumstances deemed exceptional by the seller after adequate consultation.
3. A full refund (including transaction fee) is given in the situation that the event is cancelled.
4. The right is reserved to charge for the replacement of tickets.
5. Late arrival may result in non-admittance until a suitable break in the performance.
6. Cameras, audio and video recording may not be permitted. The right is reserved to broadcast or telecast any event.
7. Tickets may not be re-sold for a premium or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (without written consent of the seller). If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the bearer of the ticket will be refused admission.
8. Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way.
9. GST will apply to all goods and services supplied by the Bookings Office or ticket desk.
10. Where concessions are applicable, suitable and valid identification must be provided for collection of tickets and at the venue.
11. Adequate time must be allowed for the collection or delivery of physical tickets for events where e-tickets are not eligible for entry.
12. You may be contacted by our Visitor Market Research team via email, inviting you to provide feedback that directly relates to the event you’ve attended by way of follow-up. You can elect to opt out of that invitation by simply selecting the ‘opt-out’ option that is provided.

Email newsletters

You will receive email newsletters from Auckland Museum if you have expressly signed up for a newsletter on the Auckland Museum website or have supplied your email address to us by other means for that purpose.  You may unsubscribe to a newsletter service at any time using the unsubscribe link within each email sent by Auckland Museum or by contacting news@aucklandmuseum.com.  The information we hold from subscribers to our email newsletters is not shared with other parties.

Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act

Under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 that came in effect on September 05, 2007 you must provide your consent to receive promotional emails.

When you register and join eNewsletter lists on www.aucklandmuseum.com  we take this as an indication and acknowledgement that you would like to receive emails from us about our exhibitions & event acitivities, Museum services and special offers. You may also be contacted by our Visitor Market Research team, inviting you to provide feedback on events you’ve attended.

At any stage you may elect to opt out of our mailing list by sending an email to news@aucklandmuseum.com or by selecting the UNSUBSCRIBE link on any of our newsletters.

Visitor tracking

This website has been designed to automatically issue a ‘cookie’ to visitors, and visitors’ cookie details are subsequently logged alongside visitor navigation throughout the website. This information is used to analyse overall visitor activities on the website, such as the number of repeat visitors, length of time spent on the website, and navigation throughout the website.

We also use cookies in emails and within online member profiles to personalise content and track the interest of readers in our articles. With text newsletters, we track clicks to find out which links in the newsletter were clicked on.

Details about individual visitor activities will not be disclosed to third parties.

Use of the Auckland War Memorial Museum logo on an external website

The Museum’s logo is protected by trade mark registration and copyright. The Museum logo must not be placed on an external website, or otherwise used by any external party, without the express approval of Auckland Museum.
