One of New Zealand’s leading museums and most popular tourist attractions, Auckland War Memorial Museum is focused on providing compelling visitor experiences for people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures. The Museum has ambitious plans to increase the contribution we make to the cultural and economic development of Auckland, whilst ensuring we build on our responsibilities as a place of commemoration. We will connect with Aucklanders and visitors to the city, through sharing the rich and diverse stories of our people, lands and seas; onsite within the museum, offsite in Auckland’s communities and online.
