Magma Muffins

 You will need:

  • Muffins or cup-cakes (we used chocolate, but you can use any flavour you like).
  • Chocolate icing
  • Raspberry licorice logs
  • Cake sprinkles or chopped nuts.

Step 1 Step 1
Cut lengthways into the end of a piece of raspberry licorice to make a flower shape. Make a couple more of these.
Step 3 Step 3
Squeeze or dribble some icing into the crater, then make some more dribble down the sides like mud or lava flows.
Step 5 Step 5
Carefully stick cake sprinkles or pieces of nut to the licorice, using tiny blobs of icing, to look like exploding fire balls and molten rock.

Step 2 Step 2
Cut a crater out of the top of a muffin. Eat the piece you cut out!
Step 4 Step 4
Stick your licorice flowers into the crater so they look like the erupting magma and fire bursting out of the volcano.
Ta Da...the finished product! Ta Da...the finished product!
Wow! Now you can eat your fabulous creation. Yum!!!! And did you know..... ‘Magma’ is another word for molten rock.
