Sleepover with Sue 2009

In 2009 children had the opportunity to spend a night in the Museum with Sue, the biggest, fiercest predator that ever stalked the land, and let her take them back to a prehistoric era when the world was filled with giant monsters. As the sun set for the night, the Museum’s dinosaurs came to life and children grabbed torches to roam the Museum to track them down. They listened to dinosaur stories and learnt about their world, took part in a treasure hunt, made their your own dino crafts and enjoyed a snack around a ‘campfire’. Finally, they fell asleep beneath Sue, her feet the size of a family dog and her mighty skull filled with flesh-tearing teeth that once devoured prey in a single mouthful, and they survived the night unscathed!
