Lighting up the Museum

The Passchendaele Society and Auckland Council will be holding a service on the Court of Honour to farewell components of a Memorial and Garden to be shipped to Belgium and installed at the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 in Zonnebeke,  commemorating the centenary of the battle.

In support of this blessing, Auckland Museum is lighting the building red and will fly the national flag of Belgium and New Zealand to acknowledge the start of this special journey and in memorial of our fallen soldiers of Passchendaele.
