    SLATER, Charles Herbert (Regtl No 73966 1st NZEF, 1st Battalion NZ Rifle Brigade). On May 28, 1985, at Hamilton, dearly loved husband of Elsie and loved father and father-in-law of Nancy and Hugh, Andrew and June, Kath and Jack, Jim and Mavis, loved pop of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; in his 88th year. A service will be held in the St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, River Rd, Hamilton, tomorrow (Thursday) at 1.30pm, followed by a private interment. No flowers please by request.
