    Trooper Walter V. Pulman, who died of wounds in Palestine, on November 17, was the third son of Mr. G. Pulman, of Buckland. He was born in the Waikato, and prior to his departure was farming at Pukekohe. He left with the fifth reinforcements, and served for nearly three years with the forces in Egypt. His youngest brother, Lance-Corporal Pulman, is a member of the thirty-third reinforcements. (Auckland Weekly News, 27 December 1917, p. 21) AWMM
