I feel very sad that you are gone but i have very strong memories of the times we had together.
Especially the 4 months i spent with you in the latter part of your life.
You are sadly missed.
I was very sad to hear of Joe's passing, I will miss seeing him flicking through the Navy Today magazine at the museum, and miss the funny and sometimes very poignant conversations at a very loud volume, we had about his life and service. He was one of my favourite navy boys; a gentleman and sometimes a rogue.
Rest in peace, Joe, I'll miss you.

Joe is a colleague of mine as a volunteer at the Auckland War Memorial Museum and I regard him to be a real gentleman. He is a very brave veteran of the WW2 and is a fellow member of the Silverdale RSA and is highly regarded there.
