  • Thinking of my Great-Grandfather Frank Richards on ANZAC day. He was a plumber and a strong man who could tow trucks with his teeth. He was sent to France with the Wellington Infantry and died in France in April 1918 in the Final Push. He is buried in a tranquil cemetery in Belgium. He left a young daughter, Alma, and a widow Grace. They returned to England soon after so my grandmother spent the rest of her life here and my family wouldn't have been born if Frank hadn't died which is very poignant. From Catherine, Antony and Anne Jones( granddaughter)
