      Whilst his family note that his father had died in 1913, and that his mother was not trusted as his next of kin at embarkation, the Nominal Rolls record his next of kin as his mother. The family offer his brother Percy Brockett, Riddiford St and the next of kin

      Killed on Somme whilst trying to bring wounded men back from no man's land AWMM
