    Sergeant Alcock was the pilot in a Hurricane on a training exercise when he struck trees and crashed.

    There is a reference to the loss of Sid Alcock in the diary of Sergeant Pilot Raymond Herbert John Broady (NZ39691). [Ref. MS 883]
