Peter Ellis. Told me about Richard Ellis. And his service to our country. He cried. Telling me that hardly anyone in our family remembers him or talks of him. And how sad that made him feel. He was telling me this, I figured so that his name lived on in memory. So that he was never forgotten. Having passed at such a young age. This made me sad. Every year, when Anzac Day comes around. It is he who I think of most. I wonder, why did you join. What was it that incouraged you to go or who. What did you see there. Were you happy in your final days. And I wish I could have been there with you. Most of all, I wish I could have known you. To know the kind of a man you were. To know what I missed out on in your life. Every year on Anzac Day, it is you I think of Richard Ellis.
