  • In researching my family tree I found the record of the death in action of Alfred William Tomlinson. He is my first cousin once removed, his father Alfred Tomlinson being a brother of my grandfather Frederick Arnold Tomlinson. His mother and sister Ruby used to write to my grandmother and my father on a fairly regular basis. I understand there is also a Ruth who Ruby referred to as her grand daughter, doing nursing. I would be interested in hearing from any of the family. I have quite a lot of family history, some quite surprising, if anyone is interested in that. While I never new Alfred William I am greatly indebted to him for his great sacrifice. Don Tomlinson
