  • As part of my research on the Tarrant Book, I came across this site and was pleased to find Maurice. My mother (who was about 13 years old at the time) told me he gave her a mouth organ just before he left for war. He also wrote on the passionfruit, when it ripened and the news came through of his demise, no one ate it. It sat in the fruit bowl for quite some time.
