AWMM Fatality in Camp: New Zealand Herald, 8 July 1918, P. 4.A bugler was killed at Trentham, Wellington. He mounted one of the camp horses which bolted. Dash, endeavoring to dismount by throwing one foot over the horses neck, fell on his own head. Death was instantaneous. Military honours were accorded to the deceased.
