    • Herbert Dash was born at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. AWMM
    • Fatality in Camp: New Zealand Herald, 8 July 1918, P. 4.
      A bugler was killed at Trentham, Wellington. He mounted one of the camp horses which bolted. Dash, endeavoring to dismount by throwing one foot over the horses neck, fell on his own head.
