  • Great Grand Uncle Hemu. You never returned to Niue and had your family in New Zealand. It was good to catch up with the extended family several years ago. You and great grandpa Hipa were the only 2 brothers to return from the War. One can only imagine the pain and suffering that you witnessed whilst serving your country.   • Grand Uncle of Niutama Tuhipa from Hikutavake, Niue Island, Hemu is the son of Niuloa & Fukesifa Tuhega, Hemu is the brother of Niutama Niuloa Tuhega. Hemu & his three brothers served in World War 1 drafted from the island of Niue to train in Auckland, always remembered never to be forgotten from Niutama Tuhipa, wife & family.
