  • First child of Lawrence and Hazel Windleborn of Nelson, New Zealand. Phillip's father Lawrence Christian (78770) served in WWI.

    After returning from Korea, Phillip worked for the Morrinsville Dairy Company.

    He also collected and bred many types of birds, including golden pheasants, quail, budgerigars and guinea fowl.
