  • Harold Cook is my great Uncle who fought in WW1 along side his 5 brothers. He lost Austin Dwyer Cook in Galipoli, Ernest Calud Cook in France. He returned with Walter Stanley Cook and William Everard Cook to Maungakaremea after the war. Little is known about Harold by our family but it is believe he may have been captured and tortured, returning back home a broken man. We will remember him and his brothers for their service and sacrifice. If anyone knows anything further regarding Harold or our family please contact me - Constable Jonathan Donald WYLDE JWCN16
