  • Known as Scotty, he was engaged to my Grandmother Runa Chamberlain of Ruru, Westcoast NZ. b 1892.
Runa did not forget Scotty. She spoke of him and had a warm relationship with his family in Scotland throughout her life. He was her true love. Runa married Herbert Bert Rowse, 10 years her junior, and went on to have 3 sons. My dad Tom was the youngest. I recall letters and magazines arriving from Scotty's sister " aunt Bessie" in Scotland each Christmas. She did not marry so the family has gone. Just wanted to leave this note to say Scotty was loved and remembered by nana all her life and the family will always hold his memory dearly. Never forgotten.
