    MR. P. T. FROMM
The death occurred last evening of Mr. Percy Thomas Fromm, a member of the "Evening Post" composing department, and a former representative footballer:

Mr. Fromm was prominent in football circles for many years, representing Poverty Bay before the war, later playing representative games while living .at Gisborne and North Whangarei. During the war he played for the Maori1 Pioneer Battalion, and also played for ,the 0.T.C.. while stationed at Cambridge. He was engaged in representative rowing at Whangarei and Gisborne. His war service was distinguished, and at the conclusion of hostilities he had risen to the rank of Second Lieutenant. With the exception of several years spent farming in the Waikato after the war, Mr. Fromm had been connected with the printing side of newspapers since he left school. He was first employed in this capacity on the "Poverty Bay Herald," and later on the "Gisborne Times," j "Northern Advocate," and other North Island papers before coming to Wellington to join the "Evening Post" staff eight or nine years ago.
Mr. Fromm, who was 46 at the time of his death, is survived by his wife and two daughters Public - Lorraine Mona - Researcher - 14 December 2023 - OBITUARY
