    Admitted to 2nd NZ Field Ambulance, 12 May 1917 (accidentally injured: fractured 2nd phalanx, 2nd toe, right foot: unloading sleepers: injury serious; soldier not to blame); transferred to 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 13 May 1917; to 14th General Hospital, Wimereux, 23 May 1917; to England, 23 May 1917, and admitted same day to 2nd NZ General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames; discharged to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 24 May 1917; to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 23 June 1917.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 20 March 1918; rejoined unit, in the field, 5 April 1918.
    Detached to Rest Camp, 20 August 1918; rejoined unit, 4 September 1918.
