    • The death occurred this morning at the Cook Hospital of Mr. Nathaniel Hale, fourth son of Mrs. Annie and the late Mr. William Frederick Hale, of Tolaga Bay. Deceased, who was born in Tolaga, was a highly popular member of the coastal community, and had a host of friends in Gisborne, where he frequently spent short periods. He was engaged in bush work until the last few days, and fell a victim to pleurisy; his removal to Cook Hospital occurred yesterday, and at an early hour this morning passed away. Mrs. Nathaniel Hale predeceased her husband by five weeks, having suffered a long illness. Four young children survive the death of their parent's, and widespread sympathy will be felt for them.
