  • "Three days after disembarkation at Liverpool, Huta marched into the New Zealand Engineers reserve Depot at Boscombe, near Bournemouth. He was by then ill with pleurisy" (Church, p.226)

    On February 19 1918 Huta was admitted to No.1 NZGH, Brockenhurst with tuberculosis of the lung. He wasn placed on the 'Dangerously Ill' list and he died on 24 March 1918. (Church, p.226) AWMM
