  • Arthur was my great-grandfather. I remember him quite well as I stayed with him and his wife and their granddaughter, my Aunt Judith, who they brought-up. He was a great gardener. Arthur also died in a house in Fitzgerald Avenue, around the corner from my home. When his wife died he came and lived for a time with my Parents and family in Ashburton and I have a photograph of him working in their garden.
