Ken and I trained together in Waioru. He went to infantry and I to the Artillery. I was in Vietnam when Ken's company arrived and often meant to get over to see him. I left it too late and for that I'm eternally saddened. I remember Ken as a quiet and friendly man. Someone I was proud to know. ANZAC day to me is solely about him. One day I will make that visit.
