My grandfather kept a diary on Gallipoli. My father had a few copies printed up. I have had some more copies done and have distributed them to direct descendants of Francis. I have a few left if anyone is interested. My son Simon now has the original.
I believe I was the first descendant to visit Gallipoli and his grave when in my early twenties on my trip overseas in the 1960's. It was hard to imagine the hell it must have been on the beautiful day it was when there.
