Describe the image: Nursing Sister Ella Cooke is on the left in front wearing the two medals. Sister Ella volunteered in London upon the outbreak of the war. The third from the left, with Red Cross Badge, is the Comtesse de Sesmaison, while Commandant Courant is third from the left in the back row.
Where did your information come from?: This photograph was among the various papers which were in the possession of my late aunt Ella, whom I believe was named after Nurse Ella Cooke.
