Come and support young Play It Strange musicians as they reinterpret Kiwi classics and perform original compositions. From soloists, to duos and bands playing in a variety of styles, we're putting young talent in the spotlight.

Play It Strange is an organisation that shines the spotlight into New Zealand schools and brings into the light the great songs that are written there. Play It Strange also celebrates New Zealand music by encouraging young performers to create their own unique interpretation of a New Zealand song.

14 - 15 JAN

Aimee and the Contours from Kaipara College play country-pop.

21 - 22 JAN

Hannah Milo and Ella Dale, formerly of Ellerslie Primary, best friends and sisters through music, are here with their award-winning song 'We Are Aotearoa'.

The Play It Strange Series will take place next to the landmark exhibition Volume: Making Music in Aotearoa.
