Online purchases
All transactions are processed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). All products and services include Goods and Services Tax of 15%. When you purchase a membership online we need to know your name, address, telephone number, email address and credit card information.
Your credit card information will be used only to process your transaction. So that we can track your order, we will retain your order information for our records. We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards. The name that will appear on your statement will be "Akld Museum Institute".
Credit card security
Our secure server software uses industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology. SSL encrypts, or encodes, your personal information - including credit card number, name, and address - so this information is unreadable should someone try to intercept it. Credit card details stored onsite are encrypted using 168bit 3DES encryption. Payment Express is a level 1 certified PCI-DSS compliant provider.
Ordering processing
Your order will be processed as soon as practicable within standard business hours. No order will be processed until we have received confirmation of payment in full.
Delivery
Your membership pack with sent via NZ Post once processing is complete. If you do not receive your pack with 14 working days please contact us via email.

Business name
Our business trading name is Auckland Museum Institute. The Institute is a charitable entity founded in 1867 to inspire interest in science, literature and history, and is the Auckland Branch of the Royal Society of New Zealand. Its elected council has the right to appoint four members of the Auckland Museum Trust Board.
