Auckland Museum’s Annual Plan describes how it plans to deliver world-class experiences for Aucklanders and visitors to the city over the financial year from 1 July 2020 – 30 June 2021. Tāmaki Paenga Hira has reviewed and adjusted planning to respond to the significantly changed funding and operating environment caused by COVID-19. The Museum has responded to take the necessary steps to address the new financial reality.
Our annual Museum Medals awards honour individuals who have given exceptional service to the Museum and made outstanding contributions to the generation of new knowledge drawing on the Museum’s collections and research resources. Find out more about this year’s winners here.
In this online companion to the book, Crafting Aotearoa, several authors bring to light some of our untold craft histories through a collection of 52 essays. Touching on a variety of topics including exhibition histories and placemaking through materials and motifs, this companion shows the strong history and culture of craft in the wider Moana Oceania region.
