    Item 1 -- Notebook (105 mm x 63 mm), dated Monday 21st December 1942, consisting of brief notes with some accompanying sketches on, (a) - Folk Museum Citadel, and (2) - Archaeological Museum, Jerusalem.

    Items 2-4 -- Covering letter from 67005 Sgt. Dick Scobie, ERS, 2NZEF, CMF, to Mr [Gilbert] Archey, 20 May 1945 (then Director of Auckland Institute & Museum), enclosing the following items of war memorabilia relating to the cessation of hostilities in Europe: (1) - Two copies of Official Hymn Sheet Service, (2) - Copy of local service of thanksgiving, and (3) - Copy of the 2NZEF Times. Note: Only one copy of Order of Service is present. The copy of the 2NZEF Times is also not present.

    Item 5 -- 'Services Guide to Alexandria' (second edition), published by the co-ordinating committee for the welfare of HBM Forces in Alexandria. Contains a covering letter from 67005 Gunner R.A. [Richard ('Dick') Alexander] Scobie to his father, dated 31 December 1941, written from Maadi Camp in North Africa.

    Item 6 -- 'Services Guide to Cairo', published by the co-ordinating council for welfare work in Egypt, belonging to 67005 Gunner R.A. [Richard ('Dick') Alexander] Scobie and addressed to 'Mr A.P. Scobie, 19 Queens Avenue, Frankton Junc., N.Z.'

    Item 7 -- New Zealand Expeditionary Force - Map of Cairo (neat lines 323 mm x 381 mm). Lightly annotated by Dick Scobie.
