    Carried on boat anchored (overnight) at mouth of Kaihu River, where it flows into the north Wairau River, north of Dargaville. Sighting of the species in the area have discovered one drain heavily infested with the species. This drain runs through a large peat swamp and enters the Kaihu River at a point near SH12, north of Dargaville - P. Joynt, 11 Dec 2002.
