    ISOTYPE of Gymnogongrus crustiformis E.Y.Dawson, Pacific Naturalist 2: 248, 1961. Cited in Pacific Naturalist 2: 249 (1961).
    Rocky headland just north of lighthouse. Good flora of small species. Polysiphonia, Pterosiphonia, Ralfsia, Ectocarpus abundant in small pools. Rock granitic, solid, heavily surf-beaten. Temp. 24.9º C.
