  • Field Collection Notes
    Single trunked tree to 1.5m then many trunked, many branched. Spreading, open habit; height 14m, circumf at BH 1.96m. Many small branchlets. Bark ridged horizontally, firm. Leaves glossy on upper surface, mid-dark green. Spiked margins on leaves. Midvein underneath, covered golden hairs.
    California live oak.
