  • Field Collection Notes
    Large arching shrub, Ht ca 3m. Spread ca 4m. Very many stems arising coppice-like from ground. Old wood mid-brown, splitting, peeling in strips. Young wood reddish-brown, coarse-haired. New growth arching. Leaves sessile, dark green glossy upperside, paler, glandular underside. Margins serrate. Flowers borne mostly singly, deep pink 5-petalled opening to ca 1.4cm, 5 upright stamens with yellow-green anthers, orange style, green ovary. Lightly scented.
    South side of tall forest. Partly shaded beneath tall tree.
