    Pounder (English)

  • Description

    Penu. Stone pounder. This penu (pounder) has been worked and smoothed from ofa'i (stone). Its shaft is cylindrical and flares out towards a large circular base that is rounded and slightly chipped at the edges. The base has a convex pounding surface. A large faded sticker has been adhered to this area. The grip end of the penu is topped with three knobs. The penu is grey in colour.
