Jewish prayer shawl bag that belonged to Egon Schoenberger (1914-1978) of Mainz, Germany circa late 1920's. It was almost certainly given to him on the occasion of his bar mitzvah in 1927. Egon brought the shawl with him when he migrated to New Zealand in 1939.
