  • Description

    Penu. Stone pounder. This penu (pounder) has been worked and smoothed from ofa'i (stone). It has a cone shaped shaft that widens out at the base to a pronounced rounded rim. The pounding surface is slightly convex. At the grip end the penu is topped with raised grooves. The penu is grey in colour.
