    Adze blade (English)

  • Description

    'Arā. Adze blade. Carved from a single piece of ofa'i (stone), with a rectangular cross-section. Muddy brown/grey in colour. The 'arā has a steep bevel, with a narrow flat blade with long sides, and a sharp cutting edge. Prominent shoulder. Reduction from shoulder to butt. Poll left pecked.
