    Adze blade (English)

  • Description

    'Arā. Adze blade. Carved from a single piece of ofa'i (stone), with an cross-section. Blunt cutting edge, with a mildly steep bevel, and rounded blade. Overall surface treatment left pecked. Chipping at butt-end and poll. Light grey in overall colour with orange/brown colouring visible inside pores of 'arā. White coloured marking possibly paint visible on poll. Circular dark coloured marking/stain visible across the front of the blade.
