  • Description

    Fao'a. Stone adze. This Fao'a (adze) is worked from ofa'i (stone) of a grey colour. It is triangular in section. The Fao'a has a pronounced bevel surface. Its sides, poll and butt end are all left pecked. The surface of the blade is rectangular with a slightly raised shoulder just before the reduction towards the poll.
