    Adze blade (English)

  • Description

    'Arā. Adze blade. Small in size. Carved from a single piece of ofa'i (stone). The 'arā is with a triangular cross-section, with a steep bevel, and a dull cutting edge. The poll is long. Areas of the sides of the blade, bevel, and the cutting edge are left flaked, with the poll and butt left pecked. Dark grey and black in colour.
