    Fao'a. Stone adze. This Fao'a (adze) is worked from ofa'i (stone) of a grey-brown colour. It has a long shallow bevel and is trapezoidal in section. The cutting edge is broken. The blade's surface is rectangular in shape. The Fao'a has a prominent shoulder reduces towards the poll, which is left pecked.
