Ang Rita was one of the first Himalayan Trust high-school scholarship recipients - achieving the highest marks in the SLC exam, he initially studied medicine in Burma - political circumstances forced abandonment of this study - returning to Nepal, he later became the Chief Executive of the Nepal Himalayan Trust.
