    fayum mummy portrait. Portrait of a woman painted on wood. One of the "Fayum mummy portraits". The woman is wearing a blue top and has her hair parted in the middle. The top corners of the piece are tapered with a black border along the top. The bottom of the piece has a black trellis design. Wood slightly worm eaten and paint flaked off in places.
