    Jar

    Made from porcelain and wood. An ovoid shaped jar with a large circular opening, and a circular base. On the opening of the jar is a fitted wooden cover with a circular hole at the centre and has a raised carved petal pattern around the hole. The jar decorated in the style of Rouge de fer, it has a red/ochre coloured ground and gold gilt painted designs of flowers and geometric boarders. The jar is on a wooden stand with four ornate legs. On the base underside is a Ch'ien Lung period seal mark
