  • Description

    Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from toka (stone). Dark grey with shades of brown in colour. Triangular cross-section. Dull cutting edge. Bevel surface is concave, steepens at end. Long blade. Raised shoulder. From the shoulder reduced to butt. Butt shows evidence of pecking. Poll is unpolished. Overall surface treatment shows evidence of pecking.
